Every day, Arizonans cross the border into Mexico to buy prescription drugs because the United States is one of the only countries in the world that lets the drug companies charge whatever they want for lifesaving medication.

Every day, Arizonans feel the unique impact climate change has on our state because for too long Congress has lacked the courage to stand up to the fossil fuel companies.

The Inflation Reduction Act takes both of the issues head-on.

But Senator Sinema has yet to say how she’ll vote; she’s been completely silent on the matter. She hasn’t even held a live, in-person town hall to hear from her constituents on this issue (or any other) in a LONG time.

She has talked to the wealthy people who bankroll her campaign.

And news reports suggest she is considering holding up or even stopping the Inflation Reduction Act over a provision that would make hedge fund managers pay their fair share in taxes — something even Joe Manchin supports.

Here is the truth:

I get asked a lot about whether I am going to primary Senator Sinema in 2024.

And the truth is, I am still not entirely sure. But I do know that Arizonans deserve a Senator who will say YES when presented with the opportunity to lower the cost of prescription drugs and protect our state from the ravages of climate change.

Especially when measured against making hedge fund managers pay their fair share.
