For many years we have worked with activists, community leaders and health workers to develop people’s livelihoods and ensure they can access affordable healthcare.

Now, as the impact of conflict in Ukraine, COVID-19 and rising global costs combine with the effects of climate change, regional conflict and local challenges, many communities across Africa, Asia and Latin America are facing a dire situation.

Health Poverty Action and Find Your Feet, our sister organisation, are launching our Livelihoods Appeal, focusing on our work with communities to safeguard people's livelihoods and health at this critical time.

Together with our partners worldwide we’re addressing the immediate issues that matter to people – from developing sustainable sources of income, food and water to providing healthcare in remote and isolated communities.

We’re also continuing to build global alliances, so we can challenge the global inequalities that push people into poverty and poor health – from exploitative global trade arrangements to discrimination against women.
