Over 1000 activists have signed our global petition calling on world leaders to take action on child marriage. This is an important first step at focusing global attention on the issue. But now it is time to take the next step.

Our global petition will help put international pressure on governments to escalate action to end child marriage. But for them to really listen, we need to make sure citizens in their countries are putting pressure on them too. That’s why we’re providing the tools and resources to help YOU launch your own national level petition!

Read our ‘Stop Stealing Her Childhood’ Campaign Toolkit to follow three easy steps for launching your own country petition. ([link removed])

You can show your government and head of state that your country won’t stand for child marriage - demand action from your elected leaders by launching a national petition. This is a simple but effective way of drawing attention to child marriage and putting pressure on a decision-maker to take action.

Your national petition will form part of the larger global campaign that the Girls Not Brides’ team will be promoting in the lead up to the UN SDG Summit in September. By working together to collect as many signatures as possible over the next couple of months, we will be able to combine all our efforts in one large campaign event in New York during the SDG Summit. If we make enough noise - governments will have to listen!

Join the global campaign and launch your own campaign – follow the steps in the ‘Stop Stealing Her Childhood’ Campaign Toolkit to find out how! ([link removed])

Together, we can amplify our voices to show world leaders we won’t tolerate violence against children and urge them to act now on child marriage.

Good luck!

Zoe
