In a letter to the Senate sent Friday, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger voiced opposition for the Credit Card Competition Act and outlined the negative impacts of imposing any new caps or restrictions on interchange fees.
The Senate is back in session seeking to tackle the Democratic deal on a scaled-down budget reconciliation package, while the House returns home to their districts with a few virtual hearings scheduled for the week. NAFCU also continues to monitor movement on the Senate’s proposed appropriations spending package, unveiled late last week.
