• In recent years, Texans have been made increasingly aware of the bias, indoctrination, and hostility toward self-governance present in the state’s education system.
   
• But did you know that Communist China has been infiltrating our public schools for years?

• For months, the Texas Scorecard investigative Team has been hard at work tracking the influence Communist China is building in the Lone Star State. 
   
• The first series of articles, available now, focus on China's infiltration into Texas; universities, as well as K-12 schools, through Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms.
   
• Confucius Institutes target higher education, while Confucius Classrooms target K-12 public schools. Both introduced Chinese Communist Party money and indoctrination materials to our education network.
   
• Our research revealed that these programs were introduced at Texas A&M, Texas Southern University, Houston ISD, and many others.
   
• Former Chinese President Hu Jintao even revealed that the programs were designed as a way to "increase our Communist Chinese Party influence around the world.” 
   
• Records we reviewed shows universities and public schools giving organs of the Chinese government control over curriculum and even personnel.
   
• While many of these agreements have terminated in recent years, China's influence remains through alternate programs set up in different names.
   

• Texas Scorecard’s research into the influence Communist China is attempting to have over Texas will continue with additional topics in the coming weeks.
