I recently traveled to Wisconsin to campaign with Mandela Barnes because we urgently need him in the U.S. Senate.

Wisconsin is one of Democrats’ best chances to flip a U.S. Senate seat and defend our majority this November. Joe Biden won the state in 2020, and far-right Republican Ron Johnson has been named the most vulnerable Republican Senator up for re-election this year.

Mandela Barnes is our best chance to send Ron Johnson packing — but he needs all of us in this fight.

And he has a big end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight at midnight. With his primary on August 9, there's never been a more important time to show your support.

That's why I'm asking:

This year’s midterm elections are going to shape the future of our democracy. And they’ll determine our ability to protect abortion rights, defend voting rights, and level the playing field for working families.

So we’ve got to fight hard to make sure the leaders we elect will make big changes and build a country that works for everyone, not just the rich and powerful.

That's why it's critically important that we defeat Ron Johnson and elect Mandela.

Ron Johnson is a guy who is happy to cozy up to the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. As if that wasn't bad enough, the January 6th Committee recently revealed that Ron Johnson personally tried to rig the election for Donald Trump by attempting to deliver a list of fake electors to Mike Pence.

And his corruption doesn't end there. During his time in office, he has repeatedly done the bidding of large corporations and his billionaire donors while working families struggle to scrape by.

Ron Johnson even went so far as to complain that his wealth only doubled during his time in office. He’s more concerned with his net worth than creating opportunity for the people of Wisconsin.

But I know someone who will take on powerful special interests and fight for working people in the U.S. Senate. His name is Mandela Barnes, and I would be very happy to work alongside him in Washington.
