By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be 35,000 feet in the air on my way to Washington D.C.

Why?

Because 25 of the most shameful politicians in our country’s history decided to kill one of the most important bills in our lifetimes--the PACT Act--which single-handedly would’ve provided healthcare to the nearly 3.5 million veterans across the country--my friends and our first line of defense--who’ve been exposed to toxic chemicals.

All of this, in the name of partisan politics; after Senate Democrats secured dozens of Republicans to cross party lines and vote for this bill, there’s been a mass exodus--the 25 I mentioned earlier--of Republican Senators as a protest to the Manchin-Schumer Deal.

Because we were able to get some real progress done, now they’ve retracted their support and are attempting to halt any further progress--leaving those 3.5 million veterans WAITING for critical healthcare.

If you ever wonder why nothing gets done in Congress, this is why.

That’s why I’m on my way to D.C. right now: tomorrow morning, I plan on giving a speech on the steps of the capitol denouncing the partisan games that have gripped our country. To stall infrastructure and budget bills is one thing, but to stall life-saving support to those who’ve given everything to this country…

It’s nothing short of shameful and unbecoming of a country that claims to be the best in the world. If we want the privilege to say it, and to believe ourselves when we do, it’s time we live up to our words and take action.

So tomorrow morning, on the steps of the United States Capitol building, I’m going to film this speech in front of a group of other veterans who--forgive my language--are tired of this partisan bullshit. Together, in concert with millions more across the nation watching this bill, we can show Congress that the people are watching them, and we will not stand for more of their games.

But I need your help to get it out there and on the airwaves.
