John,
Reproaction was founded on the principles of direct action, pledging to provide meaningful opportunities for people to take to the streets in order to affect change. And since our inception, it’s exactly what we’ve done.
Donate to help us continue.
Our talented organizers continue to go above and beyond to create impactful actions for volunteers to showcase their support for reproductive justice.
Here are some highlights from 2019 in their own words:
Caitlin Blunnie, Organizing Lead: “We fought back against limits and criminalization of abortion, leading bold direct actions exposing fake clinics and holding ‘pro-life’ leaders and politicians accountable. We also continued our work busting abortion stigma by defending clinic access, spreading the word about self-managed abortion, and hosting educational and storytelling events.
Nataley Neuman, Wisconsin Organizer: “Through direct action organizing, we’ve been able to facilitate and lead over a dozen direct actions throughout the year for the #WIFights292 campaign and bring attention to the campaign with a piece published in Rewire.News which has been shared over 1,000 times on Facebook.”
Evonnia Woods, Missouri Organizer: “In 2019, I tried to not only engage with Missourians through a variety of formats, but build community with them. Whether it was through social media, local radio, conferences, panels, direct action protests, or starting a feminist consciousness-raising group, I worked towards my goal to get more people involved with Reproaction.”
As you can imagine, this take a tremendous amount of behind the scenes work.
Please consider a donation to carry our organizing momentum into 2020 and beyond.
Sincerely,
Pamela Merritt,
Co-Founder and Co-Director, Reproaction
