john,

Tuesday is Primary Election Day in Washington state. With control of the House majority hinging on this race, I wanted to take a moment to share why we can't afford for any of my Republican opponents to be sent to Congress.

No matter which Republican makes it through the primary next Tuesday, I'll be up against a pro-Trump, anti-choice opponent, who will go along with Kevin McCarthy’s extreme agenda in Congress if they flip this seat red. With everything from defending a woman’s right to choose, to reducing gun violence, to lowering costs for families on the line, we can't afford to let that happen.

This will be my toughest race yet. Election experts are saying Washington's 8th District is a "toss up," and Fox News called my seat one of 10 House seats most likely to flip. National Republicans are taking this as a sign they can defeat me this November, and they're spending millions of dollars to attack me.

Once our primary is over, national Republicans and outside groups will line up behind my opponent and spend whatever it takes to defeat me. We just have 100 days left before the general election in November, so I need your help to ensure we're prepared to fight back.

Will you chip in $5 or more before my end-of-month fundraising deadline to make sure I’m ready to take on whichever Republican opponent makes it through the primary next Tuesday? >> [link removed]

With your support, we can defend this seat and our Democratic House majority.

Thank you,

Kim
