John, we just learned something disturbing...

We knew one of Mayor Lightfoot's opponents was accepting big-time Republican money, but we didn't realize just HOW much. According to recent disclosure reports, over 75% of the money Paul Vallas has raised has come from donors who have also written big checks to Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, and Donald Trump. That's right, 75%!

Ted Cruz? McConnell? TRUMP? That doesn't sound like Chicago to us, John. Mayor Lightfoot has fought tirelessly for policies that will uplift long-neglected communities, raise the minimum wage, and advance equity and fairness in our neighborhoods. We can't go backwards.

We only need a little bit more to hit our end-of-month fundraising goal before midnight. We rely on a grassroots network of supporters to power our campaign, which is why we're asking: will you be a part of our movement to build a more just, equitable Chicago by chipping in now?

We couldn't do this without you,

— Team Lightfoot
