Hey John,

My team is on the ground across our district this weekend to get out the vote ahead of our Tuesday primary but I wanted to drop you a quick note.

This has been an explosive and devastating year of newsRoe was overturned by the Supreme Court, effects of climate change continue to ravage our communities, our children and families have struggled with shortages against a backdrop of rising costs, and over a year after the false calls of election fraud incited a violent attempted coup, we are still learning jaw-dropping news from the assault on our democracy.

We can stand up and fight for progress if we all participate – and vote. Election season is officially here and I'm not going to use this as an opportunity to ask you for a donation, instead I'm going to ask you to use your voice.

I'm on the ballot in our great state of Washington this Tuesday and just as the first time I saw my name on our ballot over 10 years ago, I will be forever proud to represent this state and this community.

I'm honored to have carried on this fight for our children, our families, our workers, and our communities – but this fight isn't over and we still have a lot of work we need to finish.

So, if you have already registered to vote and have your ballot in hand, I urge you to return your ballot as soon as you're able. If you have not yet registered to vote, I am asking you today to make a plan to vote on Election Day.

Remember, you can register to vote on Election Day until 8 PM so I hope you will not let this opportunity to use your voice go by.

Decisions are made by those who show up and I am asking you to show up for me today and on Election Day.

Thank you for your continued support.

– Suzan
