The August primary election is just two days away. In a matter of hours, I will know which MAGA Republican will be challenging me in November.

 

You know that I never take a single election for granted. My work serving you in Congress is too important for me to sit idly by and wait for election results to come in.

 

Frankly, there is too much on the line and this election is critical for the future of our country. Typically, voter turnout is lower for midterm elections like the one in November, but Team Dingell is gearing up to put in the work to make sure MI-06 voters know how important it is to vote in this election.

 

I have a critical end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight. If you want to support my reelection campaign, please make a contribution ahead of this deadline to help fuel the work we have ahead.

 

I know this election will be extra challenging because Michigan’s election maps were redrawn during the last redistricting cycle.

 

That means thousands of voters will be casting votes who have never seen my name on the ballot before. It’s important for me to reach old and new voters in this new district because I’m in Congress working to deliver for all of my constituents.

 

While I would love to meet with voters in person at events, farmer’s markets, and in the community, I know that’s not possible. That’s why we need to prepare now to reach voters on social media, at their doors, and through the mail.

 

Those types of programs require resources, which is why I’m emailing you today. My least favorite part of my job is asking supporters like you for money, but my team is telling me how critical these fundraising deadlines are because they ensure that we have the resources to invest in these programs to reach voters before November.
