MEDIA ADVISORY: Gov. Justice to host groundbreaking ceremony on new Coalfields Expressway section, tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in Welch

WHO: Gov. Jim Justice, Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Transportation Jimmy Wriston, other officials.

WHAT: Gov. Justice will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the 5.12-mile section of the Coalfields Expressway from Welch to WV 16, connecting Welch with the Coalfields Expressway. Gov. Justice announced the bid award for the project in May 2022.

WHEN: Monday, August 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: Construction site adjacent to FCI McDowell Prison. DOT signage will direct attendees to event site.
