Before becoming a candidate, I remember getting *bombarded* with desperate, hair-on-fire emails from other Democrats.

I hated them then, and I still do now. That's why I made a promise to myself (and my team) that we'd never use the obnoxious scare tactics you might be used to.

But the truth is that the *vast majority* of our contributions come in on emails like this one. I don't have millions of dollars to self-fund this campaign, nor am I being backed by big special interests the way my opponent Ken Calvert is. That’s why I have to rely on my own (bad) sense of humor and publicly-available GIFs like the one above.
