John, do you have a moment? I want to tell you a little bit about my wife Trudy – and why I know she's the leader whom Missouri families need.

Trudy is a rock for our family. She's been there for her family through immense loss and pain that cuts unimaginably deep. She became a single mom when her first husband passed away from cancer at just 49, leaving her to raise six grief-stricken children by herself. During that moment of tragedy and uncertainty, Trudy stood steady for her kids and helped them heal.

When I see Trudy, I think of the empathy, the steadfastness, and the warmth she has brought into my life and into our family's life. I have seen firsthand how generously she shares her love and compassion with our children and all of our grandkids, with her patients, and with her community. And with division and partisanship bringing so much hatred to our state and nation, Missouri needs her leadership in the U.S. Senate, too.

That's why I am so thrilled to cast my ballot for Trudy – someone I know to be so deeply unselfish, kind, and hardworking. I promise you that she will fight for your family, listen to your concerns, and put you first, every time. And when the going gets tough, Trudy won't shirk away, make excuses, or hide away. She'll face whatever the future holds with tenderness, determination, and grit.
