I was glad to participate in two debates with my primary opponents last week. I outlined my plans to enact transformational income tax reform, fight rising crime, and rebuild Wisconsin’s economy. Tony Evers has been a complete failure as governor. With your help, we’ll retire him and make Wisconsin the best place to live, work, and raise a family! You can watch the debates here and here.
MY RIDE-ALONG WITH MPD |
I have not been on a police ride-along since I was a journalist and sadly… things have changed, for the worse. Milwaukee has the fourth highest homicide rate increase in the United States, but Tony Evers continues to ignore our violent crime crisis. I thought it was crucial to get a firsthand look at how crime is impacting our law enforcement, Milwaukee, and our state. During the ride along, we were first on the scene of a shooting, but because police are short-staffed, only half of the squads that would have typically responded were able to assist. It’s clear that strong leadership is needed to get law enforcement the resources they need to crack down on crime. As governor, I’ll make safety a top priority. I’ll hire 1,000 more cops, support tough-on-crime bail and sentencing reform, appoint judges who will follow the Constitution, and fire Milwaukee DA John Chisholm. TRUST AND SUPPORT |
I’m proud of the trust and support I’ve earned in this campaign. I’ve been endorsed by Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, a majority of our legislators, more than 40 of Wisconsin’s sheriffs, Wisconsin Right to Life, Milwaukee Police Association, Wisconsin Firearm Owners Assocation, and others.
