In post- Roe America, inaction isn’t an option.

Since the Supreme Court ruled to completely dismantle abortion rights last month, I have been hard at work pursuing every possible avenue to protect reproductive freedom both at home in Washington state and across the country.

If our highest court won’t protect reproductive freedom, then it falls on Congress to step in and codify our right to privacy and choice. But Senate Republicans’ obstruction of the Women’s Health Protection Act proves that the GOP wants a total ban on abortion.

The only way we can codify Roe and protect reproductive rights is to expand our Democratic majority in the Senate.

Reproductive rights, bodily autonomy, the right to privacy, and more are on the ballot this November. We can’t afford to sit this one out.

I have introduced and supported legislation securing health care privacy, protecting reproductive care providers from prosecution for treating patients traveling from anti-choice states, and protecting access to contraception – and we’re not letting up yet.
