Folks, here's what you need to know before our July fundraising deadline tonight:

We set our monthly fundraising goals based on the amount we need to support electing Martin and Democrats up and down the ballot — and we're still 21% short of where we planned to be by now.

Our fundraising has slowed down significantly this month. It's what we call a “summer slump.” When fewer people read our emails than usual, fewer people donate. So we count on big fundraising pushes like this one at the end of the month to close the gap.

If we don't reach our goal before the clock strikes midnight, we could be forced to make tough decisions about our budget. We don't want to get to that point. It's important to run on all cylinders in the final months before Election Day. We need to make sure Democrats who will take necessary action against climate change, protect abortion rights, and grow our economy have the support to win at every level of government.
