A recent national poll by NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist has confirmed to the public what we’ve known all along: Half of all Americans think Trump deserves criminal charges for inciting the deadly January 6th Capitol attack.

Now more than ever, it’s clear that their “silent majority” is just one of the dozens of myths and misconceptions that Trump and the Treason Caucus have pushed to justify their bigotry and attacks on our democracy. Trump and the Treason Caucus may have their bases fooled, but the rest of the country can see them for exactly what they are: CRIMINALS.

Public opinion is on our side with this issue, but there’s still much more work to do before we’re in the clear. There may not be any Proud Boys on the Capitol steps, but our democracy is still in danger as long as the Treason Caucus is in Congress. That’s why we’ve identified five races across the country where we have the best shot at unseating some of the biggest enablers of the Capitol attacks and Trump’s Big Lie.

From Nicole Malliotakis in New York to Mike Garcia in California, our fight to protect democracy spans from coast to coast. Not only do we have a good chance of holding these fascists accountable, but unseating the Treason Caucus is one of the most effective ways that we can take direct action against the criminals working to disenfranchise us.
