The Supreme Court gutted more than five decades of legal precedent when it overturned Roe v. Wade last month.

If they’re willing to take that step, many more rights we hold near and dear to us could be at risk.

At least one Justice insinuated that they may try to revisit LGBTQ rights next. Mark isn’t going to be caught flat footed.

The House took an important step recently by passing a bill that would codify marriage equality into law. Mark plans to support the bill when it comes before the Senate, and is working hard to get the 60 votes needed to pass.

And that’s not all he’s doing. Mark is a sponsor of the Equality Act that would expand civil rights protections for LGBTQ Americans. And he’s working with Senator Kaine to press the Veterans Affairs Department to demand answers on why certain VA benefits are being denied for same-sex partners.

We have a big fundraising deadline coming up tomorrow. And I know we say this a lot, but it remains true — if we don’t support the races we need to keep the Senate, it will be so much harder to protect LGBTQ rights in the United States.
