Here’s what I believe: Good ideas are good ideas. No matter if a Republican, Democrat, or Independent proposes them.  

But when leaders choose to play politics? Smart, common-sense ideas become harder to pass. Hard-working people suffer. 

This sums up the past three years we’ve seen under Congressman Guest’s so-called leadership. 

We’re running up against our monthly deadline at midnight tonight. It might be the dog days of summer in Mississippi, but our team is pounding the pavement to send Guest home.

It’s been a challenge every step of the way. Lobbyists and oil tycoons are filling Michael Guest’s coffers. He’s already running ads  — a sign that he sees our work as a clear threat. 

But I don’t back down from challenges or shy away from taking big leaps of faith. Especially when fighting for my hometown, our communities, and extremism in the Deep South is on the line.
