Andrew Named 2022 "Hero of Mainstreet"
Andrew was honored this week to be named one of this year's National Retail Federation “Heroes of Main Street” for his support of small and local retail businesses while in Congress. The overwhelming majority of retailers are small businesses, with more than 98 percent of all retail companies employing fewer than 50 people. Andrew will always fight to empower our small businesses and continue to promote the economic health and viability of the retail industry.

Andrew Supports Our Wounded Warriors
Last Sunday, the USA Patriots Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team returned to Long Island for an incredible game.

The USA Patriots is a nonprofit that brings together veteran amputees to spread awareness and support for those with physical challanges through the power of sports. They are an inspiration and I thank them for their service to our nation and for their great work on behalf of our wounded warriors.
Andrew Attends West Babylon Fire Department 75th Anniversary Celebration
Yesterday, Andrew attended the West Babylon Fire Department 75th Anniversary Celebration at Babylon Hibernian Hall to honor and recognize our West Babylon firefighters and all they do for our community. Andrew is proud to stand with our first responders always because they stand for us every single day on the job when they put themselves in harm's way to keep us safe.
KEEPING UP WITH CONGRESS
Thank You To Our Summer Interns
This week our Summer intern class wrapped up their summer internships in Washington, D.C. These bright college students spent their summer helping consitituents, giving tours of the Capitol to Long Islanders, learning about the legislative process, and assisting Andrew and his team. Andrew and all of Team Garbarino thank them for their hardwork on behalf of New York's Second District and wish them all the best on their next steps!
Andrew Votes To Prevent SEC Overreach
This week, Andrew voted to advance legislation that would prevent SEC overreach. The SEC's main mandates include investor protection, maintaining orderly markets, and capital formation but the Biden Administration seeks to go beyond SEC’s statutory authority to place onerous reporting requirments on businesses who are already struggling. Instead of creating even more red tape for businesses, we must address inflation, supply chain shortages, and labor shortages to get our economy back on track.
