Hi John,

Today marks 100 days out from Election Day, so I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all of the task before us here in ME-02.

From the beginning, I’ve promised to be an independent advocate for my constituents. I’ve done my best to keep that promise and rise above the partisan fray, staying focused on the issues that matter to Mainers.

I was first inspired to run for this seat because I, like so many of you, was sick of the broken politics that had come to characterize the representation of so many districts around the country – including this one.

But now Kevin McCarthy, our opponent, and their dark money backers are trying to replace me with more of that same old broken politics. I’m going to give it everything I’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen, but I’m going to need your help in the final 100 days until Election Day.

John, I wouldn’t come to you like this unless I really needed to. Well, the calendar (and my finance team) are telling me that I really need to – so if you’re able, I would be so grateful if you could chip in anything you can today to help us close out July strong. The deadline for our monthly fundraising is tonight, and my team says we still need to raise $4,200 to reach our goal.

As we reach this 100-day-out mark, it goes without saying that the stakes have never been higher. In just a few months, all of this will be over. We need to make sure we put up the strongest fight we possibly can before then.

That’s why I’m coming to you today, John. By now, you probably know that fundraising is my least favorite part of this campaign – but it’s also an essential part of protecting this district from the kind of broken politics that has plagued our country.

So, I have to ask – can you chip in anything you’re able to right now? We have a critical end-of-month deadline coming up tonight, and we’re rounding the corner on the most crucial stretch of the election, so I’d be so grateful for anything you can do to help.
