This week, Trump asserted that he has “absolute immunity” to all civil suits resulting from his actions on January 6th, thanks to executive privilege.

The United States is a nation of laws, and Trump is about to learn that the hard way. It’s the very foundation of our Constitution. If Trump is determined to avoid accountability for inciting an insurrection, maybe he should try to argue that he’s innocent instead.

Trump knows he’s backed into a corner, and this move indicates how desperate he is becoming. As Americans, we need to make our voices heard and let Trump and The 147 know that no elected official is above the law in this country.
