Dear John,

They thought they were safe — brother and sister, laughing and playing together
outside their home in Syria.

Then, in an instant, bombs started raining down. Shrapnel tore open the boy’s
chest. He couldn’t breathe. He later died — with his sister, who lost her leg,
crying by his side.

The crisis in Syria has sadly faded from the headlines. But the need is urgent —
even more so with each passing day.

John, during this special season, please don’t
forget children and families who need you. Your emergency gift will be tripled —
if you donate from this email right now.

Amnesty urgently needs your support to keep our teams on the ground —
researching war crimes and demanding safety for Syrians trapped in the chaos of
this complicated war.

During this special season of hope and good will, please make your donation to
help advocate for their safety.

small — will make a huge impact.

With much appreciation,

Margaret Huang
