Friends,

In the Air Force, we have a saying: I’ve got your 6.

In World War I, fighter pilots would say this to tell each other that they’re coming up from behind (the 6 o’clock position). Now, it’s what we say to let each other know: I’ve got your back.

I’m running for Congress because for too long eastern North Carolina has been left behind and forgotten by the big cities and D.C. politicians.

Our farmers are struggling to make ends meet. We have to drive for hours to see a doctor or a dentist. And our young adults are leaving home in search of better opportunities elsewhere.

I want you to know, friend, that I've got your 6.

I’ve been where you are. I’ve worked the tobacco fields, lived paycheck to paycheck, and worried that my kids will leave when they’re grown with no intention of coming back.

I’ve also dedicated my career to helping eastern North Carolina beat the odds.

This year I helped secure $215 million for a new Brody School of Medicine at ECU to train the next generation of rural doctors. I fought for broadband funding, and now $1 billion is being invested in making broadband internet accessible across the state.

We are going to revitalize eastern North Carolina. But I need your help to get to Congress to do it.

I've got your 6, friend. Do you have mine?
