The 2020 Presidential race started with the most diverse Democratic field in history. But after Kamala Harris dropped out, we are facing the prospect of a nearly all-white presidential debate later this month.

That shouldn’t be the case. Democrats should have a slate of candidates on the stage that reflects the diversity of our party.

But to have diverse presidential candidates, we need to build a diverse bench and invest in candidates of color. And that’s exactly what we are doing at DAGA. More than half of Democratic AGs are women or people of color, something no other party committee can say.

Before Kamala Harris was a senator or presidential candidate, she was a Democratic AG. In total, 23 Democratic AGs have gone on to serve as governor and 16 have served in Congress, including 5 current U.S. Senators.

If you want a more diverse party, you need to invest in our bench – Democratic AGs. But right now, grassroots Democrats are focused on the presidential race and ignoring down-ballot elections in 2020, including critical AG seats that have been a check on Trump’s anti-woman, anti-environment, anti-democracy agenda since day one.

Unless things turn around, Democrats could get WIPED OUT in the 2020 election and blow our opportunity to build the bench. We just checked the numbers, and we need to bring in 500 more gifts by midnight to get back on track. Here’s what we found when we pulled your supporter record:
