Dear John,
America is in a recession and Montanans are struggling to pay for everything from gas to groceries because of raging inflation. Despite this reality, President Biden's administration and my colleagues across the aisle are trying yet again to pass their massive tax and spend bill that will make matters worse.
In their disastrous proposal, they plan to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on radical Green New Deal policies and they want to raise taxes to do so.
My colleagues across the aisle claim that their plan will lower inflation, however, according to economists, their reckless tax and spend bill will actually INCREASE inflation over the next two years.
Who in their right mind thinks that in the midst of a recession and brutal inflation it’s a good idea to raise taxes on America’s job creators which will kill jobs?!
For the sake of Montanans pocketbooks, I will continue fighting back against the reckless "Build Back Broke" bill and push for commonsense solutions that will lower costs for hardworking Montana families.
