John --

We do not need any more extremist rhetoric that only makes our communities less safe. What we need is stronger leadership that prioritizes partnerships to bring safety to our county.

Subject: Extremist ideologies divide us

John –

Hennepin County doesn't need any more political extremists. City voters made it clear at the polls last November that they want public safety to include an effective police department. The suburbs feel the same way.

Despite these strong public statements, my opponents are pushing agendas that are dangerous for the safety of communities and families.

Ignoring crime to advance an ideological agenda is not a plan. Promising to arrest our way out of crime is also not a plan. But these are exactly what my opponents have outlined over the course of this campaign.

What we need is a strategic, comprehensive plan that addresses crime now, and the root causes of crime over time. My P3 plan for public safety is a starting place for this.

It's going to take more than a one-sided plan. While my opponents have been focused on what divides us as a community, I’m working to bring our community together to make us safe. From community organizations, to clergy, to state agencies, to law enforcement, we’re gathering the input and buy-in from everyone to get crime under control. Hennepin County is safer together.

With just 10 days left until our primary, I need your vote to move our community forward. Add your name here to let me know I can count on your vote in the August 9th Primary.

Thank you,
Ryan
