JOhn, I was proud last week to vote for a bill that will federally protect the rights of all Americans to access birth control.
In the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, it's clear that our right to privacy is at risk — and with it the right to access such fundamental things as birth control.
We need to take action before extremist politicians further chip away at our rights. And JOhn, it's telling that only eight Republicans joined us in the House to protect access to birth control.
Make no mistake: a Republican House majority will do nothing to protect reproductive rights — and it might even attempt to pass national restrictions on those rights.
My anti-choice opponent (who was "thrilled" that Roe was overturned) will rubberstamp his party's agenda. We need to ensure that we have the resources to defeat him, especially after he reported raising the most of any Virginia Republican challenger in the last quarter.
With one day to go until our end-of-month deadline, we're still $3,117 short of our goal. Please, rush $10 — or whatever you can — now to help us close the gap.
