John — Over the course of a campaign, we’re forced to make some difficult decisions about how and where we invest the money we raise.

This month, that meant making the decision to cut our digital ads budget by 50%.

We’re not here to lie to you, trick you into donating, or pressure you with fake deadlines. We will, however, be honest with you about our grassroots fundraising and how it impacts our voter contact efforts.

With a little bit less coming in the door during these slower summer months, our campaign is facing a cash-on-hand shortage that forced us to scale back our digital ads.

These ads allow us to bring new people into our movement, inform voters about Barbara’s work in Congress, and mobilize supporters to help defend our Democratic majority.

So with less than 48 hours until we close the books for July, we’re hoping to get our budget back on track so we can start August with a fully funded digital ads program.
