It’s obvious that the modern Republican Party cares for nothing except fulfilling their own greedy, selfish interests. Even when they have the chance to stand for their own people, for the common denominator that should be cared for by everyone across the aisle, they choose not to.

Yesterday, the Republican Party blocked the PACT ACT from passing Congress, a bill that would’ve aided the many veterans that were harmed from exposure to toxic chemicals and burn pits during their time in service. Once again, they’ve proved that they don’t care for anyone in the country, not even those who fought for it.

You have to ask: why? Why do Republicans staunchly refuse to help anyone but themselves?

Maybe there’s an answer to be found to that. Sometimes, these guys just take pleasure out of screwing everyone else over. After shooting down the Veteran’s bill yesterday, Senate Republicans are happy to celebrate. In videos of the Senate floor, there are clips of Ted Cruz and his friends bumping fists as their “no” votes were read.

These people are glad that they’ve made the world worse. They’re malicious actors who treat the pain and suffering of Americans as a joke.

People like them don’t belong in our democratic government. We are a country “by the People, for the People” but these Republicans are voted in by elite interests and work actively to harm their own citizens. That’s neither by the People, nor for the People!

We need to fight back against these men who only work in their own self-interest. It’s time we put good, empathetic, and kind people in government – people who genuinely care for others and value the health and happiness of Americans. People who’ve been on the ground and know first-hand how the people of this country have suffered. People who look out for all of our interests and not just their own.

No Dem Left Behind seeks to do just that. We’re working with candidates across the U.S. to unseat and overthrow Republicans who’ve held power in critical states and districts for too long. Even in their home districts, everyone knows these Republicans only maintain power because of how much money they funnel into maintaining their positions.

The only way to beat these guys is to fight fire with fire – we need to make sure that our own candidates can stand a fighting chance against them. There are so many people who’re ready to come out and vote blue at the ballot box but we have to reach them first. They’re voters in the heartland, the rural working class of America, that we need to connect with.

In our battle against these malicious actors, we need to expand our Senate majority and curb the power Republicans have in our government. No Dem Left Behind has a solid plan to help mobilize rural and working class voters in America move our country towards a better future.
