John, While we are all enjoying another beautiful Minnesota summer, I want to make sure you know that there is an election less than two weeks away. That’s right, I am being challenged by a Democrat in Republican clothing in the Aug. 9 GOP Primary Election. You know me and I hope I’ve earned your trust. Believe me when I say I am the only conservative in this race. But I’m not taking anything for granted. I need your help, and I want your vote to count! Here are the three things you need to know for the Primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 9: - Early voting is underway. If you are unable to vote on Aug. 9, you can vote early with an absentee ballot at your local election office. More here.
- If you want to vote on Tuesday, Aug. 9, find your Republican Primary Election voting location here.
- For months, I have been actively recruiting and registering hundreds and hundreds of volunteer election judges for the 2022 election. Join my brigade and put an end to the unfair DFL volunteer advantage at our polls. Learn more here.

In Panic Mode: Biden, Democrats, and Media Scramble to Define ‘Recession’ |
Despite what they think, Joe Biden and Washington Democrats don’t have a messaging problem. They have a policy problem. Biden's economic problems are the direct result of single-party control of Washington that brought us trillions of dollars of reckless spending combined with anti-jobs, anti-business policies. It didn't have to be this way. But due to Biden’s failed policies, Minnesota families are now being challenged with the worst inflation in 40 years, skyrocketing gas prices, broken supply chains, and a war on American energy that is causing the cost of everything to unnecessarily rise. |
Study: Enbridge Line 3 Generated Billions in Economic Impact |
I know this comes as no surprise to you, but a recent economic study conducted by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business and Economics determined that during peak construction last year, the Line 3 replacement project reached more than 14,400 jobs and surpassed overall economic projections. I’m pleased to fight for Line 3 and many projects like it because of the economic booms they provide to the local communities and the region. Clearbrook Mayor Dylan Goudge said it best: “Now, we’re still seeing the positive impacts of Line 3. Many people were able to get back to work. Others came from around the country and discovered our community and lifted it up.” Read more here. |
Minnesota Farmers are Struggling to Break Even in Biden-Walz Economy |
On Tuesday, I look forward to traveling to southern Minnesota to visit with farmers and ranchers from around the state at FarmFest. Minnesota farmers and ranchers are struggling to break even in the Joe Biden and Tim Walz economy. Farmers are facing 40-year high inflation, high gas and diesel prices, and supply chain shortages that are crippling their ability to plan. Prices have increased for nearly all goods that farmers and ranchers need, with crucial fertilizer prices spiking under Biden right before planting season began this year. Consider these challenges: - Three commonly used fertilizers have dramatically increased in price, with anhydrous ammonia up 235 percent, urea up 149 percent, and liquid nitrogen up 192 percent.
- A Purdue University study found 30 percent of farmers reported struggling to get herbicides, 27 percent machinery parts, and 26 percent fertilizers.
- The USDA’s latest Agricultural Prices report found that the price of livestock feed is up 15 percent over the past year.
