Team, it’s been one year since Texas Judge Andrew Hanen ruled to put a partial end to the DACA program and stop first-time DACA applications from being processed.
Immigrant youth have fought like hell to win and then protect DACA for more than a decade, but have been subject to politicized attacks through it all, including last summer’s cruel decision.
And just last month, a federal court began hearing oral arguments regarding this anti-immigrant decision declaring DACA illegal — in a case that could have major ramifications for the future of the program.
This is why United We Dream Action is fighting for permanent protections despite all the temporary benefits DACA provides. And this is exactly why we need to hit our grassroots fundraising goal so we can keep up our fight for all immigrants and demand more than just band-aid solutions
We need to raise $1,400 before midnight tomorrow to reach our goal and keep our advocacy efforts fully funded. Will you rush a donation so we can prepare for the DACA fight ahead and win permanent protections for our communities?

Last July, Judge Hanen struck down the DACA program in a decision that blocked the government from approving new requests, but protected current program recipients — for now.
Our organization immediately went on the offense to support DACA recipients, making sure they knew their rights, challenging the anti-immigrant decision, and demanding our elected officials do better than band-aid solutions like DACA.
Now, one year later, our fight is back in the courts. That’s the story of DACA, ever since its inception — immigrant youth and allies responding to unrelenting attacks and fighting for our livelihoods.
We don’t know what the future holds for the program that has been a lifeline for so many undocumented people, but that won’t stop us for demanding more from the elected officials who promised to protect immigrant communities.
A better future with permanent protections for all 11 million of us is possible, but not without your support, friend.
If you’re able, rush a donation before tomorrow’s deadline so we can prepare for the DACA fight ahead and achieve permanent protections for our communities. We rely solely on grassroots donations, so any amount you’re able to contribute will help us keep up our fight in this critical moment.
