When you're running for office, who you take money from says a lot about your principles.

I don't take a single dime from special interest groups, corporate PACs, lobbyists, or other members of Congress. I am only beholden to you, and I am honored to have your trust.

My Republican opponent is running a very different kind of campaign. One of his first sources of support is a PAC called America Reloaded, a gun rights group led by Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw. I'd be wary of trusting my opponent to pass gun safety reforms if he's in the pocket of pro-gun advocates like Crenshaw.

How we act in this moment will make all the difference come November, and to keep our campaign on track, we need to raise $10,000 from grassroots supporters before our end-of-month deadline. Are you able to chip in right now?

Look, nothing's going to change if Congress continues to cater to special interest groups. Those groups exist to funnel cash to the candidates who will vote in their best interests -- not yours.

That's just one of the reasons I'm so passionate about campaign finance reform and running a grassroots campaign. I'm committed to representing the priorities of the mighty DeanTeam in Washington -- preventing gun violence, ensuring women make their own reproductive health decisions, taking action on climate, and more.
