I've got big news, Team:
Back in October, I was proud to share that my first bill -- the Building Blocks of STEM Act, which helps introduce young students to future opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math -- passed in the Senate. Just yesterday, the House of Representatives joined us and passed our bill. Now this critical piece of legislation is one step closer to being signed into law.
Team, I am working to cut through the Washington gridlock and get things done for our families, but I need you with me in the fight. Pitch in $5 now.

I am grateful that my first bill passed with the support of a diverse, bipartisan coalition of elected officials and organizations like Girl Scouts of the USA and Girls Who Code. When President Trump signs it into law, our legislation will expand opportunities in STEM education for our students and take important steps to empower girls and finally close the STEM gender gap.
The Building Blocks of STEM Act is proof that we can rise above partisan politics and make progress. But our work on this important issue and so many others is just getting started.
I will always work across the aisle when we can come together to make a real difference for Nevada's families, and I'll always fight as hard as I can for our values: advocating for education, defending affordable health care, and working toward comprehensive immigration reform. But I need to know I can count on your support as we take on these crucial fights in the days ahead.
Say you're with me in the fight, team. Contribute $5 now.
