John, just this week the New York Times put out an article with this eyebrow-raising headline:
In short, they explain that the DCCC has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in a Republican Congressional primary to prop up a more extreme, Trump-aligned candidate in hopes that he’ll win the primary and be easier for Democrats to defeat.
And where did a lot of that money come from? Grassroots donations made by folks like you.
That’s right: the DCCC is playing political roulette with their supporters’ money in the hopes of electing corporate Democrats, rather than moving towards progress.
Here at the Working Families Party, we don’t gamble with your generous donations, and we certainly don’t spend them on boosting insurrectionist Republicans. We use your contributions to help elect candidates who will fight for all of us — which makes reaching our online fundraising goal this month that much more important.

When you contribute to our party, you’re not covering the bill for us to play political games.
You’re supporting our get-out-the-vote efforts and deep organizing work, with strategies centered around the people who actually live in the communities where our WFP champions are running.
We do everything from training volunteers, to phone banking and texting, or even covering the printing costs for literature to pass out to voters. All of these resources add up to big wins for our WFP slate, but they all cost money.
When we reach out to you about our big end of month goals, the money you chip in is what helps cover these expenses — and it has a direct impact on elections.
In August alone, we have a huge wave of primaries to get through in states like Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan, Connecticut, and New York. Reaching this goal will set the tone for everything we’re able to accomplish over the next few weeks and impact which candidates we’re able to help across the finish line in November.
