Tomorrow marks 100 days until Election Day, and we are sounding the alarm. As abortion rights are now left up to the states, it’s critical that we stay aware of where our representatives stand on abortion rights - regardless of what party is behind their name – so we can hold them accountable.

Electing pro-choice women (and, yes, always Democrats) at the state level is a huge part of our strategy. Since federal politicians have failed to codify Roe v. Wade, we are seeing far too many anti-choice state legislators developing new ways to block access to abortion. We are on a mission to stop this trend and protect the right to comprehensive reproductive care, in both red and blue states.

This week, Her Bold Move teamed up with Instagram’s fan favorite, @so.informed, to spread the word and bring attention to the rise of all anti-choice politicians.

Many of these anti-choice “Democrats” are endorsed by “Democrats for Life” – a “pro-life” coalition that supports anti-choice champions. These endorsed “Democrats” have committed to using their years in office to fight against reproductive justice, leading to:

1. Increased abortion bans.
2. Domestic violence victims experiencing heightened difficulty escaping their abusers after being forced to have a child with them.
3. Doctors declining to offer life-saving treatments for pregnant people – including those miscarrying or experiencing an ectopic pregnancy.
4. Pregnant people dying when these new laws render doctors unable or hesitant to perform an abortion.

These are just some examples of the damage that can come from electing politicians with troubling records on abortion. Thankfully, we have a plan.
