John, we've been saying all along that state supreme court races are going to be crucially important to the future of our democracy. And now the press is catching on, too:
End-of-Month Deadline: TOMORROW | USA Today: "Once 'sleepy affairs,' state supreme court races have new significance with redistricting, abortion"
Pitch in to help the NDRC keep investing in state level races > [link removed]
All over the country, Republicans are trying to install state officials, including supreme court justices, who they think will rubber stamp manipulated maps and voting rights suppression. So we’re fighting back with targeted investments in state level races that will directly affect the future of our democracy — and we need your support to keep up all our work.

We recently announced our first round of midterm endorsements, a group of 14 Democracy Defenders who we’re supporting for important state level offices this year. And in addition to those endorsements, we'll be supporting fair-minded candidates in state supreme court races, specifically in North Carolina, Ohio, and Michigan.
But tomorrow is our first end-of-month fundraising deadline since the announcement, and we still need help to reach our goal so we can keep making the investments needed to help win in all the races we’re targeting and fund all of the projects we’re supporting. And John, that’s why we’re coming to you right now.
Please don’t wait until it’s too late. Donate anything you can right now to help us reach our end-of-month goal and keep up our work to help elect Democracy Defenders and fight for fair maps all over the country this November:

Thanks,
Team NDRC
The NDRC has big plans for the next couple of years, and we can't carry them out without your help:
1. We're Building On State-of-the-Art Mapping Capabilities
In several states where litigation is pending – including North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and others – it's possible that some new maps will need to be drawn before the 2024 elections. So to get ready, we're investing in new technologies, data, and mapping innovations.

2. We're Working to Improve Redistricting Reforms
In 2018 and 2020, we helped pass redistricting reforms that were instrumental in securing fair maps in states like Colorado and Michigan. Moving forward, we plan to build on these successes to help achieve bold redistricting reforms in even more states.

3. We're Targeting Elections Key to Redistricting
All over the country, the GOP is investing in state and local races, including important state court elections. That means we need to prepare for the long term by electing pro-democracy leaders.
The good news is our work in 2018 and 2020 made a big difference for Democrats running for state-level offices. In states like Pennsylvania, Kansas, and Wisconsin, Democratic governors ended up vetoing manipulated maps. And in 2022, we're targeting races in 17 states that will have a big impact on the future of redistricting.
