Immigration advocates urge U.S. to reform cruel, broken asylum system: This month, AFSC joined with faith communities and people across the country in mobilizing to protect asylum seekers. In the coming weeks, Congress is expected to vote on whether to continue Title 42, which denies people their right to seek asylum in the U.S. (Baptist News Global) If you haven’t already, contact your elected officials and urge them to support asylum!

AFSC’s Military Recruiter Abuse Hotline: Military recruiters work in schools and our communities to get young people to sign up for the military. In some cases, they harass young people, make false promises, and even threaten violence. That’s why AFSC launched a hotline and online form where people can report cases of abuse. Help spread the word in your community.
Tell Congress: Act now to end Israel’s demolition of Palestinian communities: This year, Israel has demolished over 400 Palestinian homes and properties in the West Bank, displacing more than 500 Palestinians, according to the U.N. This destruction is part of an Israeli policy to force Palestinians from their lands. Congress must speak out against Israel’s home demolition policy and ongoing denial of Palestinian rights.
