Kentucky Flood Alert: Your support urgently needed- Rush an emergency donation [link removed]

This is devastating, John: Over the last 48 hours, heavy rains have caused deadly flooding across eastern Kentucky. At least 16 people have been killed, more are missing and countless families have lost everything. And the worst may not be over: More rain and flooding are expected in the coming days.

"We know some of the lost will include children. We may have even lost entire families."
- Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear

As search and rescue missions continue, Save the Children’s Kentucky-based and emergency response staff are mobilizing to deliver essential items to eastern Kentucky – including water, hygiene kits, diapers, wipes and cribs. But we cannot do this critical, lifesaving work without your support.

Please, will you rush an urgent emergency donation now to support children and families in Kentucky at risk of losing everything?

Save the Children has deep roots in rural Kentucky. Our work in the United States began right here in 1932 as we worked to help children survive the Great Depression. In Kentucky today, we provide high-quality early education programs in some of the most impoverished communities in the country.

We will be there for Kentucky children and families, both in the immediate aftermath of the flooding and the long term, but recovering from a disaster like this will take considerableresources, and we need your support today.

Please, make an emergency donation right now to Save the Children’s Kentucky Relief Fund. Your support will help provide lifesaving resources to children and families who have lost everything.

Thanks to support from this community, our teams have been preparing to respond to this emergency. We had supplies pre-positioned and are working to distribute them to children and families. Now, we’re working with national and state partners to assess children’s most immediate needs, as well as with local early learning partners to gauge the impact and needs of the area’s child care centers.

It means so much to know we can count on you when it matters most. Thank you for all you do to create lifelong change for children.
