John, I don’t say this lightly, but this is an emergency.
Joe Biden doesn’t care that we’re in a recession – in fact, he won’t even call it one.
His administration changed the definition of a recession so that they could pretend what they’re doing isn’t as reckless or cruel as it is.
But make no mistake, John – we are in a recession, and if Joe Biden and his handlers get Build Back Better passed, there’s no doubt in my mind this recession will become a depression and inflation will go even higher.
That’s why I’m asking you to make an emergency donation to the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, and stop this reckless bill in its tracks.
Build Back Better won’t build up our country and it won’t make us better – it will plunge us headfirst into poverty in the name of progressive pet projects.
The Senate is voting next week on a “revised” version of Biden’s Build Back Better Act, absurdly calling it the Inflation Reduction Act.
Passing this bill will be the worst thing for our country since Joe Biden took office.
There can be nothing worse than raising taxes and spending more money with inflation at a 40-year high at the same time the economy is officially in a recession.
The bill includes more than $700 billion in new taxes.
While Biden says it will only affect millionaires, more than half will be paid by small businesses that are already struggling.
The bill allocates tens of billions of dollars to expand the size, scope, and power of the Internal Revenue Service.
It includes hundreds of billions of dollars to advance Green New Deal programs.
And it will cut spending on research for new drugs which means fewer cures and treatments for diseases like COVID-19.
I have never had to ask for an emergency contribution like this but I’m asking you today for your help because this is an emergency.
I need to raise $75,000 in the next 48 hours to fund our lobbying campaign to bring the Build Back Better bill to a screeching halt.
I know this is a difficult time to be asking for your support and I wouldn’t ask unless it was absolutely necessary.
Believe me, it is.
If we do not stop the bill from being passed, it will have devastating consequences for you, your family, and all of America.
I know so many of my fellow citizens are asking themselves how much worse things could get …but if we don’t kill Build Back Better, we’ll all learn the answer none of us were hoping for.
Things can get so much worse, and very quickly.
That’s why I hope you will do something while you still can.
Sincerely,
Tom Schatz
