I have some big news to share with you: I’m honored to announce my endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes’ campaign for U.S. Senate.

Mandela has shown an unprecedented ability to unite Wisconsinites in a coalition that includes farmers, teachers, small business owners, and working people all across the state.

He’s been able to do it because he gets us. He’s a proud product of Wisconsin’s middle class as the son of a public school teacher and a third shift autoworker. And he has spent the last decade fighting for working families as a community organizer, a state legislator, and as our Lieutenant Governor.

I cannot think of a better person to partner with me in the U.S. Senate as we continue our fight to protect the right to choose, bring good-paying union jobs back to Wisconsin, and rebuild the middle class so we can give everyone a fair shot at the American Dream.

But I won’t sugarcoat it: This won’t be an easy fight. Mitch McConnell and his right-wing mega-donors are already pouring millions into Wisconsin to try and tilt the scales in their favor. But nothing this important ever comes easy.

I know Mandela is the candidate who can and will beat Ron Johnson. Now, it's time for us to come together and stand behind him.
