My name is Pat Ryan, and I’m running for Congress in the August special election to keep New York’s 19th Congressional District blue.

We’re at a defining moment in our history. While everyday families struggle to put food on the table, extremists are choosing to attack our fundamental values — everything from women’s reproductive rights to voting rights. We deserve better.

Since launching our campaign, we’ve raised more than double our opponent and built a winning campaign to hold this critical seat. Now, with less than a month left, national Republicans are pouring in money to stop our movement and enact their extremist agenda.

Like Ted, I'm a veteran, and I have put my life on the line to defend our country’s foundational freedoms. Now as Ulster County Executive, I’ve helped steer my community through a once-in-a-century pandemic, provided direct financial relief to small businesses and residents, and re-invested in mental health services. And we did all of this while never raising taxes.

This race is not going to be easy – especially in the home stretch. But I know what's on the line, and I'm not one to back down from a tough fight.
