Recently, a YouTube video ([link removed]) was posted disparaging our community, assuming and insisting that American Muslims are not working to further dialogue, both internally within our faith and externally.

Usually, we would not engage such an individual, one whose goal seems disingenuous given his background.

However, given that such a significant part of the policy work we do at the Muslim Public Affairs Council is done through collaboration with members of the faith community, we decided that a response was necessary.

That individual is Jordan Peterson, a social media influencer who works with Ben Shapiro's conservative news site, The Daily Wire.

Ensuring positive policy outcomes for American Muslims is at the core of our mission in Washington D.C.
