Hi John,
I want you to hear the story of a post-abortive mother’s regret and how she found peace and healing.
At just 16 years old, Debbie Fleck was coerced by her older boyfriend into a sexual relationship that resulted in pregnancy. Her parents gave her an ultimatum: “fix the problem” through abortion.
Debbie was devastated. She didn’t want an abortion, but her parents scheduled an appointment against her will. She sobbed during the procedure, knowing her baby was being killed.
Wracked with guilt and regret, she tried to fill the void in her heart by turning to alcohol and abusive relationships.
It wasn’t until many years later that she found the healing she needed through a ladies’ church group. They introduced her to a healing program that was pivotal in helping her face the trauma she had suffered.
She told Live Action News, “This study really opened my eyes to the importance of self-forgiveness. For too long, I had suffered from the psychological trauma of abortion. I was finally able to talk freely about the secret festering in my soul for 33 years. I felt a tremendous burden lifted.”

John, stories like Debbie’s are among the most important, especially right now as the debate about abortion is at the forefront of the national conversation. Her story not only helps post-abortive mothers and fathers acknowledge the grave evil of abortion and grieve the loss of their children in order to heal from the trauma abortion imposes on them - it also can dissuade abortion-vulnerable parents from an abortion they will inevitably regret.
Many mothers seeking abortions are, like Debbie, victims of propaganda, misinformation, and coercion from their partners, families, friends, and the abortion industry.
John, if you are post-abortive and in need of healing, please reply to this email. We would love to recommend resources that have led so many parents like you to find peace and forgiveness.
Debbie shares her abortion regret in order to offer hope to others like her, as well as to save other babies from the violence of abortion and other mothers and fathers from a lifetime of regret.
You can expand Debbie’s reach and impact by sharing her story with friends and family. Forward this email and share the article (above) on social media. By sharing her story, we can open the gates to healing for those who have already aborted, and prevent others from experiencing death and trauma.
Thank you so much for your loving heart for this life-saving mission and for all you do to make abortion unthinkable. We are so grateful and honored to have you standing with us to build a culture of life.
