I’m an Illinoisan, a lifelong labor activist, a proud aunt, and a dog mom.
My grandpa was a union painter, and my grandma was a public school teacher. They built modest, middle-class lives with those jobs.
They inspired me to dedicate my career to working people.
And that’s exactly what I’ve done: I’ve traveled the country fighting to get hardworking people the pay and workplace safety conditions they deserve, and I’ve seen firsthand the challenges working families face today.
