I can’t be the only one... watching the news lately has made me sick. Not only have we witnessed a violent attack on our democracy, we are seeing everyday people lose vision and hope.

This is not the first time our country has faced this kind of challenge and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but trust us – this moment is different.

Polls show that voters have never been so divided; hardcore political activists are opting out on the issues they care about the most and our institutions are slipping out-of-step with majority opinion. To put it simply, American democracy has seen better days. That’s why the New Politics mission is so critical right now.
