John, it's with great pride that I share some amazing news:

Yesterday, our campaign received the endorsement from NARAL, the nation's leading pro-choice advocacy organization.

I have seen firsthand how important it is for women to have access to quality, affordable healthcare -- and autonomy over their own bodies. I’ve held hands with families struggling through medical crises. I’ve looked young women in the eyes who realized too late that they needed medical attention. Women’s reproductive health is an issue of civil rights, economic freedom, and religious freedom, and it is an issue I will fight fiercely to protect.

The heart-wrenching, deeply personal decision to end a pregnancy should be between a woman, her partner, her doctor, and her faith. There is no role for politicians in that decision. But we're now at a moment in this country when reproductive rights have never been more at risk since the days before Roe v. Wade -- and we need to replace anti-choice politicians like David Schweikert with leaders committed to respecting women's privacy and liberty, not vanquishing them.

I'm running because, as a healthcare professional, I know the privilege of caring for a patient and rendering the best medical treatment based on science. Extreme political ideology has no place in the doctor-patient relationship. That is why I'm so grateful for this endorsement affirming my commitment to reproductive freedom.
