Nomination deadlines have been extended for the 2022 Lex Frieden Employment Awards and for entries for the 2022 Poster Art Competition.
The deadline for entries in the 2022 NDEAM Poster Art Competition is extended through Monday, August 8, 2022, by the close of business. This competition will award an exceptional Texas artist with a disability who can capture (in the art medium of their choosing) a reflection on some aspect of work or employment. Judges will choose a winner based on creativity, originality, interest, and use of materials. The competition will take place leading to National Disability Employment Awareness Month (October), so judges may also consider if an art submission is relevant to the NDEAM 2022 theme, ?Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.?
The Submission Guidelines?explain what is needed in order for an art submission?to be eligible to participate in this competition. The winner will earn the honor of being featured on our 2022 NDEAM Poster which is distributed around the State of Texas and beyond! Each year, the GCPD partners with the Texas Workforce Commission and Texas Workforce Solutions to promote the Texas HireAbility campaign to raise awareness about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and to highlight the contributions of people with disabilities in the workforce.
